Yeezus Speaks: 3 Career Lessons from Kanye West

"But don't talk to me," said West, as he abruptly covered the camera lens with his hand. Kanye continued, "I don't want to hear paparazzi talk to me or anybody I know. Don't talk to me. At all. And don't talk to anyone I know." Kanye West Twitter rant over "Black Skinhead" leaked video >> Fair enough, and we can understand West's annoyance with the constant media spotlight.
Source:

"I don't want to hear paparazzi talk to me or anybody I know. And tell everybody never talk to anyone that anyone knows." When the photographer continued to follow West into the airport, the irritated rapper pushed the camera aside and stalked away toward his Atlanta-bound flight. The Yeezus rapper was most recently in L.A. to spend time with Kardashian, 32, and his baby daughter North West, born five weeks early on June 15.
Source:

Revisit Minimalism "I'm just trying to cut away all the-you know, it's even like what we talk about with clothing and fashion, that sometimes all that gets in the way." Hearing West talk about minimalism may seem oxymoronic, given his lavish lifestyle and constant appearances on TMZ, but when considered within the context of his music, it makes sense: West's lyrics are able to take on complex topics, stripping them down and simplifying them with a direct message. Along similar lines, we often hear axioms about how the simplest solution is always best, and to "keep it simple." That can seem tough given our complicated lives and careers, but think about it: Especially when you're stressed, it's easy to overcomplicate a project or your job search approach-applying to every opening in your city and rushing to create the best video or infographic resume the world has ever seen. But sometimes, it's best to get back to basics and cut out all the clutter. Whether it's streamlining your resume to highlight your most compelling accomplishments, shortening up that email to your boss, or narrowing your focus to five amazing companies, taking a minimalist approach to your career can be just what you need to get to the next level.
Source:

The BLKKK SKKKN HD video that leaked yesterday was not the official version. KANYE WEST (@kanyewest) July 9, 2013 West, who is working on the video with fashion photographer Nick Knight, despite his earlier proclamations that there would be no singles released off Yeezus, tweeted his dismay about the leak, Me and Nick Knight have been working on this video for 5 months and for creatives its heartbreaking when something like this happens. The link that was making the rounds on Monday took fans to a Universal Music Group WordPress development page that has since been password protected. Its unclear whether the leak was a deliberate act or merely a technical glitch. (MORE: The 8 Best Things Kanye West Told The New York Times ) The widely circulated video features the visuals that West had unveiled during his performance at the Governors Ball festival in June, along with the same nightmarish imagery of snarling Dobermans and black KKK hoods, that have marked the aesthetics of his provocative Yeezus album and his performance on SNL. The clip also shows a shadowy, animated version of an extra-muscular West (shirtless, wearing a gold chain) rapping the angst-filled and fiery track fromthe new album and occasionally turning into various futuristic monsters. The computer-generated West dances and jumps and even offers a glimpse of full-frontal nudity, continuing the provocative bent of Wests latest work.
Source:
